Milverton, ON – Sunday, July 17, 2022 – Kyle Steckly was able to keep his momentum from last weekend going and walked away with two more 1st-place finishes this weekend!
Kyle and his No. 22 APC Auto Parts / CANUSA / Qwick Wick Chevrolet Camaro traveled to Delaware, Ontario Friday night for another night of the Delaware Weekly Series with the Catalys Lubricants Pro Late Models. Kyle had the 2nd fastest time in practice and finished 1st in the 10-lap heat race. Kyle started the 35-lap feature in 5th spot and immediately began working his way to the front. He finished 1st for the second week in a row with the Delaware Weekly Series.
On Saturday Kyle and his team switched gears and headed to Flamboro Speedway for the fifth round of the APC United Late Model Series. Finishing 9th fastest in practice and 7th in qualifying, the 22 Racing team was working hard to get the car to have the speed they wanted. During the 100-lap feature Kyle inched his way closer to the front, with a pass with only 2 laps to go he was able to secure his first APC United Late Model Series win of the 2022 season.
“We had a great weekend with our APC Auto Parts CANUSA Qwick Wick number 22. Picking up the win at Delaware on Friday night as well as Flamboro, getting our first APC win of the year. Really happy with how we got our car working this weekend and looking forward to next Friday at Delaware Speedway to keep this streak going,” Steckly said.
After this race Kyle is 2nd in the Delaware Weekly Series points standings and 3rd in the APC United Late Model Series points standings.
